How to root lg optimus l90 (without computer)

Link to root app: https://towelroot.com

  1. this method is how I rooted my stock lg l90 d415 variant, the alternative method below roots all variants of the d415 version !!!

    * read everything before you start doing anything !!!

    * These root methods root all lg l90 415 Variants that are not running lollipop & shows you how flash Twrp recovery without a computer !!!.

    * if you are running lollipop and want to root your follow this tutorial Video.

(If this method fails then follow the alternative method below)

    Kingroot method

    1) GO DOWNLOAD the latest version of KINGROOT. Open the app & ROOT (follow basic app instructions). ONCE you're FINISHED YOUR PHONE SHOULD BE rooted.

*If this method fails look at alternative method below.

*the next step is necessary so that you can enter recovery mode & flash custom ROMs

    2) download Flashify from the Google play store

    3) once you've downloaded Flashify, go to the link below to download Twrp recovery. (I prefer you download the IMG file instead the zip file).

    4) go to Flashify and select "recovery image". After that hit "chose file". Next go to the folder where the file is located and select the file. hit "yup". It should download and complete. After it completes. Select "reboot".

    5) now you are rooted (if step 1 went right) and have Twrp recovery to flash custom ROMs like CyanogenMod & etc. Congratulations !!!

*I will later do a tutorial on how to replaced the KINGROOT Superuser with a different Superuser if you followed the steps & rooted correctly !!!

    Alternative method
*now assuming you are not rooted, or rooted, flashed a custom ROM & lost your root, or have lollipop stock or update, or updated to lollipop & lost your root, or erased your os (operating system), or did all of they previous in recovery mode, or did all of the previous in any order. This is how you install a custom os & reroot your lg l90 through Twrp recovery !!!

    1) the first thing you need to do is install an rom/os (operating system). You can do this by downloading one on a computer or different cell phone and moving it to the external sdcard (Assuming you should know how to do this) I will show you how with instructions below.

Download the rom/os which is provided in the link below
    *( the rom/os below is a custom Rom/os. It is the custom ROM CyanogenMod 12 for the lg l90 d415 ) !!!

    2) after you download the os file move it to the external sdcard. if you downloaded it on a phone. Move it to the sdcard/external storage. If you used a phone, move it while using the phone while connected though a USB cord to the sdcard/external storage.

    3) after you do that Boot into recovery.

*to boot into recovery follow these instructions

    Power off device.

press the power button and volume down button at the same time.

Release both buttons when the lg log loads up.

Then immediately press both buttons again until the factory data reset screen pops up.

You use the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to confirm.

Select yes every time it asks "do you want to rest".

After you select yes every time, it should load Twrp recovery.

    4) After you boot onto recovery mode go to install. Find the file. It is in the download folder or whatever folder you moved it to.

    5) once you have selected the file a window will appear telling you to swipe to install zip.

    6) swipe to install/flash ROM.

*If successful you should now have cyanogen mod 12 running lollipop 5.1.1
    Congratulations !!!

*To reroot your deceive if everything went above went successful follow the instructions below ( because the os/ROM you flashed/installed after following the alternative method doesn't root your phone )

    1) go download the file from the link below. The file from the link before will reroot your device.

    2) reboot into recovery & install the zip. Then reroot your phone. If successful your device should be rooted.
If everything went successful your device should be rooted running cyanogenmod 12.1 on android lollipop 5.1.1 !!!
    Congratulations !!!

*If not I'm sorry. I can no longer help you, try using a method that involves using a computer. If anything went wrong and your device got bricked, I am not responsible neither are the are be pops & and makers of the app. Even if everything went successful no one is responsible except you !!!

  2. Dont do it. When your at the website and you click the center of it just opens up a bunch of new tabs that are blank. Over 100 tabs i had to reset my phone.

  3. Are you 100% sure this is safe/harmless? I looked into it before installing, and the app has access to your sim card, and can delete parts of it too. It just seems a bit sketchy, so I was wondering.
